This project consisted of two, 4 story apartment buildings, each built over subterranean parking. The repair scope of work included the redesign and reconstruction of the exterior access walkways throughout the buildings. The existing walkways and many decks had extensive structural damage due to water intrusion. The work required an extensive survey of the existing buildings. Then a sample area was deconstructed to examine the degree of damage. After that the prototype repair was executed to test the best repair methods. Many of the exterior decks were water damaged and most of them required repair. The work required constant field review as damaged portions were revealed during reconstruction.
